The artist, Nathan Buck, began taking pottery lessons to make something special for his wife on their ninth anniversary. After just a couple lessons, he was hooked on creating useful and durable pieces from ordinary clay. Within months he started creating his own works at home.
"It reminds me of how we are just ordinary materials like water, carbon, etc. and yet we have been crafted with extraordinary gifts, abilities and purpose," says Buck.
As a growing artist, Nathan is committed to making one of a kind pieces and naming them according to their design. He hopes others are inspired to consider their own uniqueness, design and purpose.
Every Yatzar Earthenware item is an example of ordinary materials shaped, formed and colored to make something beautiful, functional and unique.
Nathan Buck is also a pastor at the Catalyst Church in Findlay, Ohio.
